July 4th Celebrations
Walt Disney
World
Fourth of July guests will be treated to pyrotechnics
spectaculars throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
At Disney-MGM Studios, the sky show will be framed
by a 122-foot-tall Sorcerer's Mickey's hat, centerpiece
of the Vacation Kingdom's four-park, yearlong
100 Years of Magic celebration honoring the 100th
anniversary of the birth of founder Walt Disney.
Disney's Magic Kingdom will
light up the sky with a special version of Fantasy
in the Sky Fireworks. In celebration of
The Fourth of July, patriotic music will enhance
the extended display of fireworks.
Guests staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort
and Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, will be
able to view most of the colorful nighttime display.
Universal
Studios
Three major fireworks shows combine to deliver
a spectacular display at Universal Orlando.
To celebrate
Independence Day, Universal Orlando Resort will
host an extraordinary collaboration of firework
mastery by combining displays from three locations
into a single show that can be seen throughout
the resort. The awe-inspiring fireworks
will emanate from Universal Studios on one side,
Islands of Adventure on the other side and Universal
CityWalk in the center, filling the sky with stunning
illuminations. The show will begin at approximately
10 p.m. with all three locations simultaneously
setting off an astonishing array of fireworks
choreographed to America's favorite music.
Prior to the extravaganza, Universal CityWalk
will host Fourth of July fun for the whole family.
CityWalk will offer a variety of games for children
and adults, including musical chairs, a balloon
toss, and watermelon, hot dog and pie eating contests.
Accompanying this assortment of All-American entertainment,
CityWalk will feature live music from the band
"Pocket Change" all afternoon.
To continue
the Fourth of July weekend festivities, CityWalk
will host events on Friday and Saturday. Friday
will feature the Men in Black II Movie Premier
and a NASCAR Street Party, complete with
a live broadcast of the Pepsi 400 and an exhibit
of NASCAR race cars. On Saturday, NASCAR Virtual
Reality games will be available for guests to
